Set up in 1994, Wood & Co managed and run by former Inspectors of Taxes with the HMRC, provides a comprehensive and economical advice service and help on all types of tax investigations and other technical tax issues to the small and medium sized accountants and legal professions as well as the general public.
After much success, the firm has steadily built up an enviable reputation for quality work both with accountants, private clients and the Inland Revenue. In 1997 the firm became a consultant to the Tax Investigations Group of a top ten accountancy firm, whilst still continuing to offer independent advice to other firms of accountants and solicitors. The firm has handled all types of investigation cases ranging from the small subcontractor right up to multi-million pound companies. In addition, Brian Wood MCP (Investigations Manager) has been involved in the writing of articles in Taxation, the national press and other specialist accountancy magazines whilst Jackie Wood (Tax Manager) is a member of the ATT.
